A momentous start to a new career ?

Gone were 4 years of education, dreams hanging in the air, ideas floating directionless...

I have had to leave my beloved ones and friends in London to head home for a new start. Still unsure if it is the best option, but certainly one that is worth trying. It was a sad departure, but life carries on and we craft out the best for NOW and the future :)

Thursday 8:00am - Felda Global Ventures office.

A day which carried significant meanings. I was a new employee for FGV, the far sighted company in Malaysia. It was extremely interesting to be given the chance to meet top management of all Felda subsidiaries.

The rest of the week up till yesterday, was the same. Endless meeting, like a friend quoted, I am a sponge at the moment soaking in as many information as possible.

Working time 815-1715, what can you ask for? Only on two occasions I have had to stay till 7 and 8pm. Nevertheless, I am mastering the art of high efficiency, i.e. making full use of every single second. This though, is super tiring, I am drained by 5pm and can't wait to leave :(

Anyhow, product development with marketing team next week followed by a week CNY break then a first assignment in Sahabat, Lahad Datu, Sabah.

Can't wait for CNY to meet Audrey :) and Zhen Zhen of course.

Another week filled with exciting events

1) Imperial College Freshers Fayre

Got kicked out of my own university doing PouchThis! promotions. Imperial is adamant and strict about promotions and it is considered littering or assaulting students while promoting. What bullshit for one of the smartest universities in the world. They kept stressing and threatening police may arrest which in all honestly, the rights of an individual is way too much that's why they couldn't do anything during the London riots. Even the security man can barely run after someone, all he knows is how to flash his ranks where in fact he has no power at all. The sole reason I left after a lot of debating with different union people is because I am from that uni and I do not want to put them in trouble or affect their job. Enough said though, very typical way of doing things for the Brits.

This is just one case and I do not wish to hurt any party but mentioning this above.

2) PSW application

I have gotten my passport back! One of the blessings I have received for my birthday :) At least now I will be free to travel with my family for graduation.

Airport send off, meetings and being helpful

Was in the airport for 2 consecutive days marked with sending Caleb off, helping someone which brightened up my day, picked my cousin up at the airport followed by picking Audrey up in the early morning.

1) Sent Caleb off on Thursday, 8th of September, 2011 - marking the end of a milestone and the start of another. Well, it was a good bro chat and as always, we've sent each other off and travelled together for many years now. Loads of planning and motivation to do from my side but enjoyed the 4 years thus far.

2) Met with a lady name Lydia who's a jewellery designer (part time) and also a band player who was touring the UK. Saw her struggling to book into a hotel, tried in vain to withdraw money because her credit card, debit card and cash cards weren't working. She was using the public phone when I decided to ask if she needed some coins. Thought she could use a few to make her night better. Found out she's from the states on a stopover for the night and was trying to get her husband to give her his credit card details. I told SJ (my cousin) when I met him and he suggested I lend her my mobile instead of coins - works better ! I had doubts because she is a stranger but turned out she was really nice and we spoke etc.

3) Picked my cousin up from T1 after I met Lydia at T1. Was a great cousin-y hung out night as well. Loads of sharing of opinions, words of advices etc. Was really good to meet up and have a nice chat!

4) Picked Audrey up, having to wake up at 440am to catch her at 6am in the airport. Gruelling tasks especially when I slept at 1am. Got there early, fantastic to see her as it has been awhile and got the taxi to come earlier as well :) chatted the whole journey home which was amazing !!!!!!

Okay, back to work now :)

When a nightmare isn't a nightmare...

My deepest condolences to the family of my friend. Words cannot describe how saddened I am now.

A few days ago, I thought about contacting you. I wanted to let you know about applying to banks for internship because I've just heard a few news... I didn't call - I decided to wait till you return to the UK to call. The last time I heard your voice, was over the phone just a month ago.

5am, dumbstruck by the news, I lie awake, unable to think for a moment. This is the first time a close friend has passed away. It is these moment that you question your daily doings, are you doing yourself justice? Have you met and heard from the people you love for the day?

Flashbacks after flashbacks, although the last time I met you, I was bragging about my new business, but I got the chance to catch up - which at this moment, is extremely precious as I will never have the chance to spend time with you again. The last time I spend time with you rings clearly in my head, I decided to spend the whole night chatting with you rather than my new friends, because its been awhile since I last contacted you.

Hiccups in my stomach, it is rare I wake up at 5am. Today seem a little weird, I looked to the phone the moment I was awakened. I am still speechless but all I can say is, cherish your life everyday. Walk the path you choose to and love the most, meet your love ones whenever possible and never look back.

You will be missed....

This is a point of time where I decide to take it on my own. I've had this experience before, hoping someone would give me that 2 extra basket so I can qualify for the next round. Hoping on others to chip in so I can make up the numbers.

Gone were the times of stress free fun, gone were the times where I could just take a day break to rethink or laze. This next two months is the do or die months for me. It is time to focus, love myself, love people around me and relax. All this and of course, deliver. The end result is all too important.

Nigel, its time to wake up and make the bucks, as much as you can, just give it a very best shot.

English as main language and the importance of your appearance

Dear Blog,

Recently I’ve found the love for writing and sharing again. I was in LCCT today for my departure flight to KK to visit Audrey and her family.

Two funny observations today, seated right in front of me in the departure hall, was a pair of friends, locals/bumiputras/Malays, they are from Sarawak, thanks to my unintentional eavesdropping ability. The only reason why I overheard them was that, they were conversing in English the WHOLE TIME! This serves as a surprise to me, when the country/the government have been so strongly supportive of ensuring Malay stay as a primary language when Malays themselves, choose to converse in English and seek education aboard. I agree Malay is important to bring the country together, similar to the importance of mandarin in uniting the Chinese, however, English still hold the upper hand for one to be successful or at least, gain international recognition.

I wonder why there are so many charity organisations out there sending young adults to be their sales rep. Sitting in LCCT for 2 hours, 2 different organisation reps came up to me. I was straight away turned off by their appearances and style. The first guy, spoke great English but had the looks of a gangster. Brown spiky hair, coupled with 2 ear rings with a collar-up polo, do not do him justice in this field. He should first get a decent hair cut, remove the ear rings while at work, otherwise, I doubt he will be getting many customers today. The next one, a girl, barely able to converse in English, kept saying please don’t get angry in Chinese was at least better, maybe because she is a girl but still fail to capture my attention with her non-interactive speech. I wasn’t interested so I told them there and then before wasting their time. Being a sales person myself right now, I understand the cruel facts that we have to face but I urge all to keep going and believing in it!

Until then, KK here I come.

Spending time with friends and leg injury

Spend sometime with Cynthia and Yew Choe this morning and last night. I must say, though we haven't catch up for a long long time, we still had much to say to each other. It was a really good meetup catching up, getting to know how people have moved on in life etc. They are really really interesting, I must say !!!!

Anyhow, I do not believe I spent 7 hours in total with those guys because it is just not in my nature that I spend time catching up :p I'll probably be doing something, which explains why some say I am either very driven or a workaholic :p

Twisted my knee again slightly so I will be out of sports at least for 1.5 weeks so more time for pouch this, coming to university near you :)

Back in Malaysia: Week 1

Finally back in Malaysia after a full 24 months of UK and various European countries. Things have changed slightly here, more independent restaurants, a few new roads etc.

Funnily enough, I feel that I've changed to. I think I'm more matured now etc. Friends are working so the afternoon is the perfect time for me to work on the venture since UK is only waking up. Am raring to get back into the stock market but haven't had much time yet.

Week 1 highlights:
1) Went to Zouk first time, thanks to Jumi (BP intern visiting from UK)
2) Had Koon Kee, my favourite mixed/economy rice
3) Driving my Wira, except its 2 years older and makes loads of noise now
4) Actually spending more time at home than outside with friends
5) Picked up my racket to play with Andrew and his student again

Week 1 surprises:
1) Have not visited ANY mall yet, yes-not even 1u !

Marketing Gimmick and the Current World

I have recently grown fond of observing marketing strategies or gimmick and also having my own thoughts on current world situation. I thought my blog could be kept alive for me to leave these opinions of mine here.

So I have been watching BBC superbrands lately and found it amusing how great brands like Heinz, Starbucks, McD or Apple to name a view have blended into our life. Today, whilst doing my usual grocery shopping, I came across Copella Fruit drink, originating from Suffolk which I have known for awhile. However, the packaging was different today, it said, 'we have found a new size that suits everyone ! ' something along those lines, it was a 750ml carton as oppose to the previous or traditional 1L carton. Maybe it has been there for awhile but I certainly only noticed it today. Then, my eyes drifted to Tropicana and Innocent, and realised Tropicana have a new repackaging as well, rather than the traditional carton, they are going for bottles now as well. As for Innocent, it was clear that it was marketing gimmick now as the £2 + drink a carton were no longer 1L, it is now 750ml and selling at a discounted price of £2 (instead of £2.79). I grabbed one anyway but I just wonder how much extra margin are they earning. Is it really that they have satisfied a customer's need of having a smaller carton or 'right' size, or is it just for their pockets.to my disbelief ! observe the size change but no price difference :(

Then I read about Gaddafi rape claims etc. I ponder yet again, how many times do the world leaders need to use rape/sexual assault as an excuse to bring one down? Look at Anwar with gay sex claims, Wikileaks founder with rape claim, IMF leader with rape claim... Is this how people are brought down, powerful man and woman who have tried to build a nation or contribute to the society, being torn apart just because someone set them up or seduced them or even they got out of control? With technology around, there are too much scrutinization, you are ALWAYS being watched.

So ask yourself, is this for the better ? or worse?

Crunch time

Today, had a great celebration for Sher-fynn's birthday. Was with most of the PE1-goers and it feels surreal that 4 years have passed just so quickly. Anyhow, looking back, yheu shen commented that 'i don't look like I have finished my exams', then I realise why i was not the most relieved or happiest man now.

This is crunch time, they call it. When decisions have to be made and where the next steps have to be taken. I am not at a crossroads, no. Unfortunately, I do not have control on things. Having said that, I have yet again, found my passion to do things, explore ideas and work crazily hard for it.

This time, its for real, it has real stakes in it. As much as I want to use models or play around, the time has come to showcase my true ability.

In the next few weeks and months, I welcome commitment, I welcome passion and enthusiasm but most of all, I welcome and treasure the work I will be able to produce. So for now, I am looking forward to late nights, loads of contacts and craziness that will come your way.

I want to leave a legacy, create a name for myself.

Enough said.

Getting my drive back

Not sure if this occurs to everyone, but I have had ups and downs in my drive always in my life. One moment I can feel so crazy about something, the next moment, I completely forgot about it.

I have had this with sports, iconnectimperial, studying, job hunts etc... Yes, I may be the guy who knows what I want I guess, but sometimes, I'm a bit lost and will be idling away my precious time. Knowing that I'm a guy who dreams big, likes getting involve with almost anything that can raise my heart beat, sometimes I lack the drive to arrive at the finishing line. What is it I'm lacking, I don't know, but I will be searching for it.

Planning of course is the best way to ready yourself for something but i love experiencing different challenges as well. So many things I'm still dreaming of doing, so many things that are out there left for me to conquer.....

I've always wanted to document my daily activities but somehow, I feel Twitter and Facebook to be too 'open' simply because I do not want everyone to know what I did etc. Writing it in a diary on the other hand is too old school/boring, I love reading what I write but I doubt I will be able to find my diary since I'm not an organised person.
This blog seem to be a great place to pen my thoughts down after such a long time.

Again, time flies and I've been through so much in the past few months. Interviews and my website has definitely gave me a new insight to the real world. Been to maybe 7-8 Assessment Centres and successful at 3, good ratio i guess, judging on the fact that I thought I should've nailed all of them. Website has been great but more work is needed.

Anyhow, just felt like writing this for 24th of April:
Brainstormed for a new name: 30 hours
Barbeque at Desmond's: 4 hours
Jog: 30minutes
Study: 2 hours

That's like the perfect time spent on everything :p Anyhow, been doing 8 miles cycling from Earl's Court to Canada water and I'm loving it.
Still dreaming of a London Marathon :)

2010..

It has been a great year 2010 I must say. So many things Ive learnt which has determined who I want to become.
Great start to the year when I got my Bp internship followed by a successful knee operation.
On the road to recovery, was dazed by the beauty of audrey and subsequently fell in love with her. It's been a really sweet 10 months now though we still share the craziest argument.
My third year exam was one of the toughest but it was also one that I stopped studying crazily for it. one that I realise, There is really no point studying so hard but nevertheless I made it through with a good mark.
Being at BP really gave me an eye opener to a big corporation where you're simply a pawn of theirs with very little authority. It also taught me how cool engineers actually are compared to bankers. Gave me time to reflect on shares and started pursuing a business idea with wen Qian.
The biggest disappointment was failing my assessment centre. This is one of my first failure in years and I had to go back to the drawing board to work on job hunts again. The only setback in 4years.
Looking back now, maybe it was right to not get it. I didn't feel motivated though i like the industry. I didn't feel that I will ever have the authority to manage ppl. I want that, I want ppl to believe in my ideas and share theirs.
December till today has been the greatest time of my life. Actually being so obsess about my business idea is just great. I really like the feeling of it and I wanna thank audrey for just being there.
let's hope the launch will be a successful one. I'm ready to take imperial by storm then London which was what i set out to do when I first came.

4th year and the final hurdle begins....

My final year in MEng Chemical Engineering in Imperial College London. Through out my three years here, I have not failed to recognise that I am in fact in one of the most prestigious University in one of the most exciting cities in the world.

Three years has whisked by. I have gain and learnt so much it is beyond imagination. Through each fall and through each sacrifice, I have came out stronger. The greatest setback yet, is my inability to get an offer from BP. However, I know I will come out tougher than ever, achieving many many things that only myself can dream about.

It was Audrey's graduation today, somehow, I felt extremely proud of her :) Her parents definitely were. My time will come soon, and when it comes, i will know which country I am going to be at. It is Audrey's day today, she deserved it after all the hard work and pain her lecturers and I gave her. She may never wear a graduation hat again, its a day to cherish.

Again, I cannot stress more that being top of the class does not mean you're the best in the real world. The process of learning and the journey to the ultimate goal is still one that's worth cherishing.

London homecoming

It has been awhile since i last stayed 'permanently' in London. Got off kings cross and headed towards victoria. It spurn me that I am again, back in this ridiculously hectic city.
London is in the eye of many a fantastic city to live in. I do not disagree with that. It has been after all, one of the best 3 years that I have had in my life. Overfilled tubes and streets, extremely fluctuating weather, coupled with all kinds of people makes the city an interesting affair. No doubt about it's skyscrappers and tourist attractions that have always left me amused.

On my way to Croydon, greater London is a sign of relief to me. A change to fast, from hull to London has left me wanting more parks and quiet lifestyle. However, I am pretty sure I'll be back into my hectic lifestyle within days, who am I kidding, I am wei hehn after all.

So London, I look forward to you giving me back my lifestyle and the entertainment I yearn. However, please make sure I stay within budget or I will be heading out sooner than I thought!

Keeping this alive

It has been months since I wrote something. I feel like I've lost touch with my blog-my diary for me to express myself whenever I want to.

Feeling extremely worried at the moment, I can only turn to writing to express myself yet again, so thank god for this blog. 11 weeks have passed in my internship. Yes, 11 weeks just flew by. I had my assessment day 2 days ago which will determine if I get a job offer. However, I think I have failed myself, I do not think I performed well enough. I just don't think I did great. Reflecting the day itself just makes myself picks on more and more mistakes I did.

The outcome will be next week and I am guaranteed to have a mood swing. Whatever the outcome, I'm jetting off to Milan with audrey to meet the fashion district and jim - ultimate bros of bros. I need this break, I need a break, desperately in need of a few. Enough said, I actually wished I has gone home to enjoy the food and my family.

I hate leaving my life decisions to other people, you feel out of control, helpless. That's why I need to be a boss someday, or a partner in my own establish business. Lifes really a rollercoaster ride, at least mine is. Staying busy has always been my thing, and having audrey helps me relax so I'm getting the best of both worlds.

I really hope I get the job. Let's keep our fingers crossed and let Bp decide.

Why I don't think Americans are relevant

It has been awhile since I last blogged. Reason being I was busy with exams and now with my internship. Anyhow, I will definitely try keeping this blog alive with all my latest updates.

Just a short rant about Americans being irrelevant people. Well, of course, I have come across a few that are pretty cool and really nice people. Lets just break it down into point forms.

You all must know how the american government is treating BP ( which happen to be the company I work for now) after the Deepwater horizon oil spill. I just feel an injustice floating in the air after seeing how American companies were treated for their absolute disastrous accidents in the past. It sounds as if BP had dug a well and burst it to pollute the Gulf of Mexico.

Now, lets look back at 3 main cases: Exxon Valdex spill in Alaska, the Piper explosion and Bhopal chemical leak. What did they have to come up against? A FRACTION compared to what BP's facing. I would rather them focusing on trying to solve this matter than putting the blame on BP. Just like everyone else, all they can do is just talk, whilst BP is trying to solve this matter.

I have personally encountered 2 corporate Americans which were a complete opposite from each other. A guy from Cargill, absolute nuisance with his attitude thinking he is the most powerful guy. On the otherhand, a guy from MSI Solutions, the most friendly guy you can meet !

So guys, I hope BP sell all their US assets to a China company to send shivers to the US people.

3rd year : Part 2

Here comes part 2 of my 3rd year in Imperial College.

Most may wonder how and what have i been doing since getting injured. The nature of me, has always been involved in sports, societies and studies. I call it the 3s instead of the 4P's people like to talk about when it comes to business models.

So here I am, running a business raising funds for charity. I intend to transform this into a successful business model one day. Profitunity, sadly we didn't win, we were the finalist, but we didn't win. I'm still proud and am able to walk tall after the events we have organised successfully. Anyhow, it was a pity we didn't win as I thought our business idea was FANTASTIC and I will prove to E&Y 1 day that they were WRONG at not awarding us.

I've told literally everyone. Third year has been only about 3 things,

1: Injury

2: Charity
3: Application

Lets start with injury, torn ACL, had to go for ACL reconstruction, used hamstring graft for replacement, trimmed posterior cartillage, rehab, physio :) Anyhow, looking on the bright side, I was able to transfer my energy into so many other things !!

Robocop is IN TOWN. I was given this as a SOUVENIR !!! WOOOP

Guys,
can't thank people enough that supported me in my Mystique event. We rocked the night, but nothing could've happen if I didn't have the support of my homies :)

Anyhow, I feel on top of the world now. Again, I outdid myself, I outplayed myself, I have managed to organise something so big for charity and this has taken me to the next level.

Even with an injured leg, I believe I am the 'nigel' or 'wei hehn' you guys are talking about. I deserve to be proud for once after all that I've achieved.

It was a great night.

Motivation

There is something going wrong with me. I don't feel the motivation to push myself. What happened to me ? Is it called a BURNOUT ?
After BP, I screwed 2 interviews up, BCG and OC&C. Gosh, people dream of getting an interview there with them and I just screw it up like that.
My mood has been constant, I have no feelings, no happy feelings, no sadness, no whatsover. I think my face still glows because I wanna put on a good image.
God, please help me get my head straight again. I need this, this is what defines Nigel.

how my brain works

I love how my brain works. Call me a geek if you like, I was formulating my thoughts for Flowsheet Design Project while I was brusing my teeth and being a vain pot checking out myself on the mirror. Then I structured it in my head on how I wanted to approach the report later.. lol.. Then I realised how awesome my brain is .. haha..

Next, I was cycling to the Uni to do work and I just realised that I slept like a log during my trip to and back from Birmingham. Here was what my friends told me when I was sleeping on the way.

on the way : One of our busses broke down, so we stopped for a good 30minutes and some guys came to join us on our bus. stopped at a stopover ( this i was awake ) and later continued our journey on a UCL bus, where we went to a wrong venue twice and arrive 1 hour late. No IDEA

Back: Journey was 2am-630am. 2 hours later than scheduled, due to a major crash that happened, hence the motorway became 1 lane instead of 3. No idea whatsoever, there was condensation hence, the bus was dripping water.. no idea again. Just know that I got back to UNI and I woke up that's it..

Running out of steam

My dear blog, have been running out of steam in terms of blogging or just uploading pictures into my com ! let alone facebook etc.
Back to reality, no sports for 6 months, no problem, got it all planned, entrepreneurship will replace that.
This week has been another hectic week. Rejected by Boston Consulting Group on Monday. Searched for clubs the whole of last week and finally decided on Chloe, South Kensington, today. Nevertheless, back to my old ways, I fell asleep sitting down in Birmingham until some random guy woke me up ! Man, love those good old times. That's a terrible habit though, havent had this experience since last year i think.

I cant be happier than today honestly. Last week was painstaking, hard to pass every single minute
looking back :
4/2/10 : After interview, felt so stupid, gone case already, spend the night with mom watching a dance movie, slept at 4am after another 2 movies.
5/2/10: Friday, kept wandering around, not listening in lecture, was advertising for International Night Sales, but failed to comply and ended up sharing miseries with Damitha, another sleepless night, a record sales again for my fund raising idea
6/2/10: Had to do something, learned guitar, went for my morning jog, was one of my best jog in ages, had fresh fruit yogurt, shower, went to temple with mom, lunch with mom, went for dinner with yheu shen and the other penangites, stayed at Sien with the rest till late !
7/2/10: Still stressing over BP, went dancing with mum, went to uni for a short while to do work, headed home and read the Kite Runner the whole night.

8/2/10:
9-12pm, starred at my phone, hoping for a call. Jolted when a private number called, but it was from Imperial Catering Services :(
12-2pm, planned new event for Team ICIS, attended Spanish :( Waited and waited
2:05: Damitha: Nigel, I just got a call ! I got it !! jumps ! ( heart sinks and the stress time awaits)
2:05-2:50: Starred blankly at flowsheet project, texted Yheu Shen to tell him my dream is gone.....
2:54: An unknown number, my heart skipped, shivered and I picked up.. The moment Beth Bentley introduced herself I knew I could spell success, punched my fist in the air towards Ricki... Thank god and me and Damitha hugged like we won the World Cup.

My sister left yesterday home bound. Full Stop. She went back to M'sia after a journey to the west, literally conquering all possible countries that could come into her grasps. I'm proud of her, not just because of her travels but because I am so fortunate to be her brother :) I really miss you sis.

Miss every single moment we spend together. The arguments we get into EVERY SINGLE day. The ignorance that you show me when I ask you question or the authority you stamp when I make a bad remark. My room is all neat and tidy again now, but without your presence, it Really doesn't feel the same.

I thank you for coming all the way to visit me, giving us the opportunity to spend time together. Although I complained a lot, at the end of the day, I really enjoyed your company. Paris was our first trip together :) We share the same disguise for the dirty underground and walkway, but we both fell in love with the majestic buildings and the Rose line.

We are both the same, really. Like how you argue back when we fight, we are really the same. Same bad temper, same personality when it comes to deciding ( we're libra after all ), same way of thinking and everything else we inherited from our wonderful parents.

Lets take a step back sis, enjoy the flashbacks with me during your wonderful trip and I really look forward to catching up with you when you touch down in 3 hours !!!

Of Physiotherapy and Musicals

Physio is my new sport at the moment and internship application is the subject i'm studying.. As for my past time, its Spanish, which I am failing miserably, no comprendo.....
So I tore, wait, it was ruptured, my poor Anterior Cruciate Ligament, its no longer there, must've washed it away in my blood vessels... Hurt a few other parts of my knee, cartilage to name a few.. it sounds scary doesn't it.. haha, well no worries there, its physio therapy, soon I'll be doing hydro therapy.. then i'll be having an op.. then i'll have more therapies.. then DONE !! I'm back to hit the courts.. haha, patient patient now..

Lets see, I'm here go blog about the musicals I've watched.

Lets start

1) never forget the musical

Great Great First Musical, made me fall in love with musicals.. First musical I watched which received standing ovations from the whole audience.

Led by a list of Take That songs, the props were amazing, the lighting and the rain effect where everyone was in trench coats. Great vocals, amazing spirit and showcase.

You probably hear about Take that because Robbie Williams has rejoined the group.

2) Imagine This musical

Set in Poland in 1943. A family of actors were forced to perform in front of an local audience to reflect that it was safe under the Nazi's control. Angers fued and it ended up in everyone escaping to a place call Masada. eventually every one committed suicide.

An overall great 'play' very talented 10 year old was in this play as well. Got amazing stall seats. Judging on the popularity I think it was overall a 7 out of 10 show.. very nice indeed.

3) Wicked

This was another good film.. 3up so far and it has been great. A sad love story but another meaningful one.. I ran out of steam blogging thanks to my place not having internet for almost 3 weeks !!! its crazyyzzyyyy !!!

I'm called 4 legged or crippled for awhile now :p, well, just hoping recovery will not take so long.

So many people seems to be coming to the UK, we've got Zhi ven and vanessa. Then Jit Hoong and JL, then Andrew Chang and possibly my Sis ! well, its good and they're all lovely people so if I recover fast enough I'll be walking at London pace in no time ! possibly even racing the Swiss up the French Alps !

A little about my summer in the UK, did my project on crystallisation, probably bore everyone to death if I talk about it, so I better bore myself :p Anyways, yea just a few pictures to show what I did..

Hi Malaysia...

Dear all,

I am back in UK again after 40 days back in M'sia. I must say, it is a very short stay and I am missing home already. Actually, I miss someone more than anything else and she is back home.

I am back doing a UROP ( undergraduate research opportunities) with Dr Heng and Michael Roberts on crystallisation. Have been fitting into the working life so far and crystallisation is quite interesting i must say especially when I can share it with some one.

Recapping, I went for the Open Dive Course ( to get my scuba diving license ! ) in Lang Tengah with Johnathan . Was a pretty good trip but it was my first time not being able to wear my shades and singlets on the beach ! We were just too busy diving and I must say, I've grown bigger many say..

Just a few pictures of what I did back home in M'sia. Went to Penang for a day as well to enjoy a whole night of good supper with Ah yen sister.

Hmmph, so I am back in my Tanah Air. Funny, I don't really crave for local delicacies.

I actually miss London. The cool air, I never sweat whenever I jog, just put on my shades and jog. However, in Malaysia, I run out of steam after a quick 15minutes jog or a 20 minutes badminton singles game.

Malaysia still has the best food to offer, the best supper you can get in town. Do contact me if anyone of you are free for a chat, I want to catch up with all my friends before I leave for UK on the 1st of August (only a month to go now ). Oh and please, if you guys want to play futsal I am always geared with my kits :)

It has been family, basketball, badminton, friends and swimming so far. I think I'm getting older(wiser), I do not like to go out late at night any more.

PS: I still love sports.

So the last paper felt like yesterday, it still feels like the exam just zoomed by. N now, I'm home, like home home : )
Transfer Processes 2 was okay, in fact it was pretty good everyone had a smile on them ( maybe because it was the end that's why. )
So we all had drinks in the union after that, sending a few of my very close buddies away because they were doing student exchange. It is gonna be pretty different next year but I am sure I will still manage nevertheless.

I had a Chemical Engineering Society meeting after which I thought was a blast because we manage to get a few goals down and the dinner was impeccable thanks to my POM lecturer Joao Cabral who has a penthouse suite overlooking London Eye, V n A, Canary Wharf ... etc..

M so glad I am finished with exams and I have had a very very nice time in Stratford-upon-Avon and Cafe Forum ( always ).

It was a dreadful day. It was a dreadful paper, questions were unbelievably tough. ( all nods to Electrochem) Well it was not like I could do half a paper. I could do bits where it was worth 1 or 2 marks but all the questions which carried >4 marks. I just well, left if blank practically.

The last minute adrenaline rush to actually memorize everything did not help. Industrial Chemistry is a failure. Full Stop.

Had some pastries given to me by Tieng just now. It made me realise how much I love pastries and how much i miss them ! Well, I've got a favourite pastry for a long time now ( only close friends knows) and I declare pastry as one of the most sought after food by HEHN !

One last hurdle, last one, a final one, then I am done. End of 2nd Year.

Two more papers left, the very last two but the toughest two I reckon.

Industrial Chemistry has always been tough, and with the days of freedoms looming, it does not make my life any easier. The very last subject, Transfer processes 2, a paper all chemical engineers must have knowledge to; a combination of fluid mechanics, heat transfer and separation processes. A must know indeed.The Crepe Ming and Tieng made me : )

Oh, I am so geeky right now. Went to Royal Albert Hall to watch the King and I just now. I must say I enjoyed the grand Royal Albert Hall (opened in 1871) itself more than the show.

I am feeling very lonely now, no idea why, it just felt as though my life is empty, not motivated to study any more. That is why I am blogging, I had to talk to someone, and thank god I have this 'online diary' of mine, a place where I express my joys. My flatmates are going for vacation over the weekend and I am stuck in my room of mine revising. All of a sudden I realise, I am in a foreign country trying to prove my worthiness in whatever I aim to succeed in.

It feels like it is taking forever to end ! However, I have no complains how my exams are tailored in such a way it allows your brain to rest, maybe rest too much then get yourself up and motivate yourself to start all over again for the next subject.

For the start, I've procrastinated almost the whole day now ! Right
after Thermodynamics 2, went for my 'regular' swim and heading back for a well deserved pizza ! Oh wait, and my curry noodles. I'm being such a girl now, exercising and replacing them with heaty food is not making my complexion any better: ( Mummy says the fruits you take everyday takes time to fix your complexion, it does not happen overnight.

Anyhow, been stuck in front of my computer, checking news headlines: from sports right up till business news, talked to my family and decided I should blog before I head off to study Process Dynamics and Control. Surprisingly those tasks took me 5 hours to complete and I still haven't touch Facebook.

I have been snacking a lot, hopefully my daily three types fruit will counter the effect. Very well, three more, only three more, and it will be the end of my 2nd year. Time flies, man I'm 21 come October.

It has been awhile since I last updated this blog of mine.

I have been revising/studying hard for the past month thanks to the lack of attention during lectures throughout the academic year; was dozing away most of the time.
2nd year is way tougher than 1st year, more interesting but it is not interesting anymore if you do not get good results for your exams.

I applied almost the same strategy in studying as last year, except I took out movies and replaced them with jogs. The weather is so hot and my room is stuffy as ever.
Math will lead the other subjects and it will come to an end in 20 days.

Enough said. Embrace it.

This song sang by Luther Vandross, the Grammy winning song of the year in 2004, touched me so much I almost ( or I did ) shed a few tears for my beloved daddy. Just like how he likes to call me his beloved youngest son.

No, I may not want to dance with my daddy : p but I feel so much like hugging him now. I owe so much to him. This song may not mean as much to others but to me, it may me feel so much for my dad, my dad is the greatest : )

I often go around telling my friends how cool he is, he's the 'cool dad'. Yes he is, he has always showered me with love, tolerated me and teaching me the right and wrongs in life. I think I should not be too emotional in this post by I love this song so much and it has made me realise how much I much appreciate my love ones, not just my dad, everyone around me that cares for me.

I will not go around telling others how you should love your dad but I am sure somehow or some way, he has taught, guide and love you in a way he thinks is best for you.

A toast to my family, great friends and people that means most to me

Ever wondered I would reach number 123 post when I started my blog : no
Many have asked, is my life so enjoyable? Do I always have fun ?
And many times have I answered, my blog: a lil part of life, is the happy organ of Wei Hehn. The blog where you can only know/find happy things going around.
Who would want to read about anyone's sorrows ? We all love lovely and beautiful but life would be dull without all the challenges, all the obstacles that prevent us from achieving happiness.

So here goes a new chapter in my life. This term, this easter holiday, this month, is doomed to be
the hardcore month. I have been drifting, or what you call slacking except I think mine was for a better cause. Again, do I have to have reasons for everything I do ? Do I have to be realistic in today's world ? Can't I follow my instinct , follow how I feel and leave the rest to luck and faith ?
Why can't I let things go and be less realistic ? Why can't I just let my feelings take control of me and believe ? Why do I have to make up excuses after excuses and run away from love and not embrace it ?

Come to think of it after laying it off for 2 hours, maybe this post should never be up in this happy-go-lucky blog of mine. Oh well, just to motivate myself, Hehn is DEEMED to be Successful, not over confident or proud, but just to inspire myself to achieve greater heights.

I have many targets, but I will have to take them out one by one, I can't shoot them down with one bullet, just take your time, think what is right and you will find your way, some how, some day, eventually.Hehn is lonely and wonders around... looking... searching... deep in thought

LIVERPOOL TRIP !!

Friendship band or something in Liverpool.

I am not going to start blogging about my Italy trip.
The gruelling but enjoyable 6 days in Northern Italy was amazing, and the weather was very kind to us. It rained when it was suppose to, it gave us sun and breeze when we needed it and we left a day before the quake that took hundreds life ! What more can you ask for, I am very thankful indeed. Caleb will blog about Italy and hopefully it will be up soon.

Liverpool, well again, I must say I am a good planner. Here is why I believe I am an incredibly good planner. Well, original plan was to volunteer in Liverpool. I signed up for a volunteering project with Habitat for Humanity(google it and you'll learn more ! ) They're in Malaysia as well and basically how the system works is they build houses for low income learners and the future tenants will work 500 hours and have the 1st 5 years waived and the pay for the remaining cost of house.

Cut things short, I went there for 2 days, 1 day on-site and 1 day touring Liverpool. Oh well, Liverpool had much to offer, it was the cultural city of 2008. Well there were 2 huge cathedrals, and I mean HUGE !!! During medieval times, I guess the Romans's must've treated the cathedral as castles ! Huge Central Library, Albert Dock, Tate Liverpool, Liverpool ONE. They have everything !! Amazing for Shopping, amazing for sightseeing but darn, I was ALONE !! YES ALONE !!!

The first thing that comes into everyone's mind when you say Liverpool is the merseyside ! The KOP, The REDS, LIVERPOOL FC. I was so lucky Chelsea was playing Liverpool and I wanted to enjoy the atmosphere outside the stadium so I took an hour walk to Anfield. Blimey !!! I got a ticket for 40 pounds and I got a really good view from the right hand corner !! And mind you guys, make sure you take the bus the next time, Anfield is dangerous.

3 out of 4 goals were scored on my side for the pitch and Liverpool got absolutely thrashed ! It happened so fast and Liverpool was really poor with set pieces. Liverpool does not know how to defend for corners !!! Oh, well, I was really glad I indulged myself and spent the money for the game.

Well, slept with 3 drunkards which wasn't the most pleasent experience. I've got to go to bed now so I will summarise my work in the construction site.

Task 1: remove the staples
Task 2: remove 4 wooden plates nailed to the concrete cement floor
Task 3: Move washing machine from store to house
Task 4: Move wood sheds to a dump site 100m away.
Task 5: fill in the gaps between the base of the house and the ground with plastics
Task 6: dig a bloody 'trench' 4 inches wide and 16 inches deep. (completed only 8m after 2 hours of swinging.

Awesome experience but a very tiring day indeed. will blog more. but it is time to gear up and study now !!!! Chao !!

End of Spring Term : 27th of March

Long behold, Spring Term is now officially gone... Gone.

My 'busiest' 2nd year term, thanks 2 major courseworks in a span of 5 weeks took most of my hours away. Plus, I have been working in the union shop to earn extra $ to splurge : p

Now, the real thing. EXAMS. I confess I am slacking in studies, my knowledge of chemical engineering probably cannot match who I was in my 1st year. Time to get down to work, time to put in the hours, unfortunately all this will only happen after I conquer the streets of Northen Italy with 5 of my buddies.

Spring term has been one of the most exciting yet tough time of my life. In a short 3 months, I have encountered much. Somethings that are worth cherishing and some that were better forgotten.

It feels like forever waiting for myself to find time to blog again. So many updates, events, pictures waiting to be posted, I just didn't find the time.
I've reached my milestone of 100 post I think, which I am very grateful and proud of.

So the new year has come upon us. After a long lay off from my blog, it is now already February.
Time waits for no man, it really does not WAIT.

I've been very very busy ( again, not knowing what i'm indulging myself in ) but hey, i decided to give a sneak preview of my life for the last month. How interesting it was and how exciting it has been. As I have always mentioned and will do so again, this blog is only to post about 'happy' things, so you may not know how stressful I am at times, how tired I am and how unhappy I am.

Paris was great ! We enjoyed it so much we walked at least 8 hours a day and we were all sleeping babies when we got back to London.

Heck, my style, who needs proper sleep when we go for travelling, it is not a honeymoon.

Again, Paris trip was amazing. With amazing people around you, there can't be a trip that is not worth cherishing. Our bond grew stronger though the playfulness in us takesover at times while teasing each other.

Food and Parties again ... Christmas !!!

Have to update my Christmas first. It was the same as last years, went over to Cousin's place for a traditional Christmas Roast. Had goose instead of Turkey this year. Her roast potatoes were as good as they were last year !! Richard was still his usual self, very focus and fixing his lego. Clarence was a little like me, just kept fooling around and jumping up and down.

1) Malaysian Society Nottingham Games
When i say the word Nottingham, i get sick of it. Partially because i've been to that place# 3 times in the space of 6 weeks ! Nevertheless, i will be going there again next year because i have more friends there now !

First up was the Malaysian Nottingham games, a yearly sports event organised by Nottingham Malaysia society. The team was there to defend our title and the team members were all hyped up and ready for it. I, on the other hand, have not touched a basketball for at 3 weeks and prayed i will still be on form when the games looms closer.

To sum it all out, i was stuck in the dreadful hall again the hall day, only managed to step outside for a quick look at the girls playing netball. Imperial dominated yet again this year, with Nottingham coming in second. It was a tight game but Imperial sustained the pressure and topped Nottingham by 5 points.

How does it feel taking a techinical foul free throw while leading 3 points with 40 seconds remaining. Everyone just watches you .. Intense

2) Nottingham Games Badminton ( Busa)
This yearly event brings around every single badminton player studying in University across the whole United Kingdom. The reception this year was amazing, they had Richard Vaugham, a former world number 9 as the top seed and Lim Kenn, a former Malaysian back up squad player as second seed.Still sober and cold !

Minnows like me, trained hard for the competition but we do enjoy the social afterwards organise by the Notts committee. At least i lost with style in both my games. Although it was second round, we manage to bring our opponents to a setting for mixed doubles and we lost closely to the 5th seeded pair in the doubles event.

Enough of the dreadful training and games, we partied the night away. Starting out with drinks in the hotel room, each of us had at least 3 shots each as a show of appreciation or punishment for bad game play. Thanks to Katie who set the rules if someone qualified for the quarter finals, we have to take an additional 2 shots each.

I really do enjoy myself when i'm with the team . .Always full of energy while partying.

3) Badminton Social, Karaoke and Partying

The badminton club booked an awesome place at the Imperial China Restaurant for dinner and we paid only 18 pounds for some really good food which includes Lobster noodles ! Plus, we had 2 meat dishes some sides and thanks to the pescetarian Beth, we had extra 2 seafood dishes !

The whole team wanted cheesecake so badly we faked Beth birthday so that we could have the cake in the Karaoke place without being charge, Malaysian restaurant will use the term 'corkage' in this situation. We sang our hearts out and a few of us lost our voice !

The club members called it a night after Karaoke but the team was determined to show their energy ! We went on to Walkabout and partied the whole night away. Ever wondered why life is so difficult... complicated .. and unsatisfying ?

Can people be the best of friends even if they have different belief ?
This has been running through my head for awhile now. I always wondered how people compliment each other in being good friends. How they share their joy, trust and love with each other. Is there a barrier that needs to be broken to share them ?

The hottest club in town, the hottest girls all over parading in Amika, voted best club in 2007 located in High Street Kensington.

Having the hottest bar hostess i've seen, lady dancing in a cage atop the dance floor, men swinging flames at the entrance, everyone in formal black tie wear, how beautiful can the night be ?!!!

Night started off with a failure to conquer reaction engineering. I decided i should start dressing up after Yheu Shen came. So i tuck into a pink shirt and suit and was ready for the night ! Went with literally the whole clan of Flat 12 and Ke Lun. Had to line up to get in but realise we were lining at the wrong side after 30minutes so had to switch sides where it was mend for individual entrance. me and beth ..

Met LOADDS of people on the way in and in the club ! Everyone was sooo well dressed, though not everyone obliged the the masquerade theme, it was expected to be a great night.

This blog is 2 weeks overdue, i decided that we should throw a tiny party for friends.

So the 5 at 4 started thinking of dishes on the menu

We had hard bread with spreadings of tuna, chicken and sweetcorn, salmon topped with thin slices of cherry tomatoes and kiwi fruit for finger food/starters.

It is just so PRETTY !!!

1) Curry chicken ( yheu shen's delicacy),
2) Sambal prawns( the best ever i've tasted),
3) egg tarts( the cute couple capitalising on digital tech),
4) mushroom with carbonara sauce ( a simple 5minutes dish which turned out to be the best pasta thus far)
5) Bruschettas a range of chicken, bacon and salmon.

Dessert
1) ABC soup with some chinese stuff i don't know. with dried oyster as well.

Thank you everyone for showing up. Especially Ke lun for the awesome ba kua, Yi min for the cake, Lay Wei for the hot chocolate and Kee siang for the baguette.

Halloween party

Finally Maple was done..
It was a huge relief to everything, well Maple at least.
Now i can focus on my studies, finally.

Went to Hertfordshire for badminton. The most beautiful campus i've seen so far in London.
Modern with greens. Thankfully we walked out being the winning team. We had to rely on Jein and Benny to beat them 22-20 in the rubber set though.

Flat 118A in Bayswater had a house warming party for the UCL and LSE people.

I literally crashed it because yheu shen was going ! So, the theme was 'back to school'. I love dressing up, so yea, a slim black tie, jun's blue old school pants, white shirt, necklace and cardigan..

I cycled to Bayswater a t 9pm ! An achievement indeed ! It was only 15 minutes so i didn't

quite worry. I had my full gears on, front and rear lights, reflector bands and jacket.

This is me !! before the night out that is.

The two nights in a row i became someone else, meaning the usual Wei Hehn would've stayed home and do his homework, but i decided i should work on my time management so i went out instead when i should be doing my coursework.

First off, went to Chem Eng Freshers Dinner at Regency hotel for a three course dinner over 2 bottles of red wine for £ 10 ! A good deal indeed ! Starter was alright, soup and bread; Main course was grilled to perfection, medium well steak served with potatoes and vegetables; desert was bad, some gingerly tasting tart.

Overall it was still worth the money i would say. I sat with 2 lecturers and 4 hong kong students. BAD BAD choice because one of the Hong kong guy that i was sitting with just couldn't stop talking !

It was good to get to know both my lecturers better though.

Proff Geoff Maitland is the new president and he spent at least 20minutes delivering his utmost hilarious and meaningful speech ! He had so many jokes going around to bring laughter into the dining place. Mingled around a bit till 11pm before i left home and stayed up till 3pm to finish a bit of my coursework, talking about time management yo !

Next Up, King's College organised a clubbing event for all Malaysians in Sound, Leicester Square. The theme was 'Hollywood Glamour' but i bet no one cared about the theme. Went to pick up Lay wei with Poh Shen before heading to Leicester Square. Yheu Shen had to wait an hour for me for the tickets ! So sorry for my lack of punctuality. Had a good time dancing, but didn't drink much because it was soooo costly plus i had to wake up at 9am the next day !

Maple computing assignment was assigned a week ago and the submission is 20 days from the submission date, which means i only have 10 more days to work on it and i have not even a single line started out !

My Uk lifestyle has been always busy, hectic and requires a lot of running around.

Life hasn't change much either this year, i was thinking of putting my basketball a side so that i will have more spare time for myself. Also, considering that i'm living in Earl's Court now and i have a bicycle, i should have a lot more spare time for myself. Sad to say, i am as busy i am, as not prepared as before, hoping for a miracle.

Celebrated Izzy's birthday a few days ago. Mum's birthday was on 14th, just had dinner plus bit of dessert. Went for Felda Open House over the weekend and has awesome Malaysian dishes.

Woke up for work early at 730. Started at 830 am.. Work was okay but at one point when I got really really busy it was bad. Had lunch with 1st years, only chemical engineering gives out free food ! I’m so proud of my department. The coolest among the engineering faculty. Went for badminton after that, was suppose to play for an hour but ended up playing for three hours ! took a swim and headed back for some very very tasty boiled potatoes over seasoned chicken breast.

Had to woke up at 9 ish to help out in Freshers Fair, a place where people sign up for clubs and societies. I survived on chocolate for the whole day till dinner ! Had left over chicken and we cook up some potatoes again afterwards. Badminton club has a massive amount of people joining and I hope not everyone turns up or it will be very very pack. Looking for new talent this year for badminton and I think there will be a few ready for the game already. Long day ahead for Wednesday

1st week in london

Greetings from London, one of the greatest city in the world.

1st week was hectic as usual, not loving London but yheu shen says since i'm gonna be here for 4 years, might as well learn to love it !! so so true about that.
So, from now on, i'm gonna love the London traffic, the london weather, the london drunkards and all the 'good' things about this city.

Trips: Tioman Island day 1

Greetings from uk !!

Tioman gang !!

Everyone tells me Redang is wayyyy better than Tioman, truth unfolds, Redang IS better than Tioman.

I do not wish to condemn Tioman because it had sand flies, colourless corals, same kinds of fish and not-so-pretty beaches. I always tell myself the fact, holidays only means more if you have the right company. It is always the people around you that make you enjoy it better !

No more last minute rushing to the bus station this time around. 30minutes ahead of time, punctual as usual, we were already at Pudu, drench in sweat, made our way through the exhaust-filled bus stops on the lower level. Had a rather peaceful journey till we sang a birthday song for some strangers seated behind. Then we got a lecture from a stupid malay man for making too much noise !!! We were just talking man ! although it was 1 am but the indians behind us were shouting !!! WE met a few chinese later and they even said the malay was being unfair ! so much for racial integration.

The batangs that i am missing who ended up in a jungle route with our snorkelling gears.
Anyhow, made a stop around 2-3 am in a place that smelled like palm oil fruit. It was middle of no where with no street lamps, had a drink there and my bro sat on the no-light road to take a pic only to be scolded by a mass of drivers !

Got to Mersing at 530 am and we had to wait till 7am for our ferry. Played Frisbee and chilled around a bit. Everyone manage to get a good rest on the ferry and we all headed to PANUBA INN !! .. was a really really nice hotel/chalet. My room was facing the jetty itself. The service was great because i left my plastic bag full of snacks and my pouch in it and they actually made a quick stop to throw it back to me !

So we started camwhoring etc... Went to ABC or something just to check out the beach ... Had to go through a stupid 20minutes jungle trail and ended up disappointed. As usual, played frisbee, went to do our own snorkelling and picture taking .. The fins were soooo uncomfortable and hard to use !

Went to tekek to get duty free stuff... everyone actually bought something because it was awfully cheap.. Way cheaper than the ones sold in airport... and the boat ride cost us RM30 per person .. crazy sial ..

Woke up early thx to the strong waves beating against the rocks.. It was really windy and we could actually hear howls grumbling through the windows.

The others were still sleeping because they had a late night. We had breakfast and i woke everyone up at 9am . Went back to the room for a quick shower and headed back down to join the rest.

Snorkelling was alright, not as fun as redang because this guide is a little proud. Didn't even bother telling us where were we or what should we do ... More freedom i guess but it wasn't too much to cherish.. Swam around, took some cool underwater pictures..

Coral beach was a letdown and the nicest beach was Long beach .. Looked almost similar to those in redang.. white powdery sand ... except it was filled with sand flies. We actually played with the dead/safe jelly fishes.. Stupid jim even collected a whole frisbee of it !! and we throwed it at each other !!

Was really tired and headed back to the hotel. took extra jumping shots as well and Jim came up with a stupid but awesome idea ! All credit to him for asking all of us to jump of the jetty. We took multiple shots of it and videod it as well. I think we did 6-7 jumps off the jetty and Yun did 2 !! A very good start for the lady ! gonna post it up on youtube soon after i edit them ..

Family trip to Fraser's hill

FRASERS !!!

My week of trips began with Pangkor.. Then it is Fraser's hill with family ...

For the start this place may sound a bit dodgy or boring.. but its a perfect escapade for a family !

It took us around 2 hours or so to reach Fraser's. There is a new road up now where you do not have to wait for alternate hours to go up or down. The fact that the road is meant for only one car had everyone going up on odd hours and coming down on even hours.

So much for the route up. This was and still is my dream house, or should i say dream vacation house. Loved this place since i was a small kid. Fraser's is undergoing a major facelift, giving it a new and better look taking over the old Frasers. The air is still fresh, the flowers are still booming, there are still only two mini market. Unlike genting and cameron highlands, everything is literally the same ! untouched !

We stayed at Malaigh Bungalow. Enjoyed tea in the gardens, breakfast, dinner together. watched tv over the fireplace and had supper with the cold air blowing against our skin. The feeling was all the same !!! Food was awesome prepared by the caretaker.

Highlight of the trip was still the waterfall.. Jeriau waterfall.. There was no one there. We had all the fun to ourself !! Awesome , couldn't even stay under the waterfall for a mere 5 seconds. Pressure was too high and it was too loud... Dad was first to try !! He turned into a happy small kid again !! lol ...

I did not realise i've reached a milestone of 100 post within the 2 years.

To start with the 101 post, I'd like to thank all readers who frequently make time for my tiny little blog to learn about me and enjoyable things i've done in my life.

Freshers Camp this year was held in Pulau Pangkor. A beach can never be bad, especially you have 43 people hogging the whole beach !

Imperial Malaysian Society Freshers camp has been going on for quite some time now and i believe the tradition has brought every single one closer than before.

Left KL sentral promptly at 945 am and headed straight to Lumut. Had KFC for lunch. I was on the fastest pink taxi van on the island. That uncle literally zoomed past every1 and horning at every single human or motor that came to his path !! and yes, taxis in Pangkor are all pink in colour.

So we had all our routines, games, ice breaking sessions etc. I'm sure every1 enjoyed the beach as much as i did. I was also surprised i could remember every single freshers name !!!! Cheers to myself. Played and taught a few juniors how to play bridge and they got hooked on to it .. Went to bed at 3-4 am the 1st night.

We went Kayaking the next day after the tide smoothen and i still have no idea what's the difference between kayaking and canoeing. kayaks were totally different from the 1s i had in Norway but it was like 100 times cheaper !!!

Found a new guy name CISM ( coral island shit man ) He was suppose to shit at coral island ( the tiny island we kayak to but it was too expose :p ) so he decided to kayak back with JJ. and so for your information, he did not shit in coral island, but due to the fact that he was with JJ, the whole world now thinks he shitted there. he's a good sport thankfully.

Did our 5min performance at night and our group turned out winners !! 2 years in a row for me !
We did Dikir Barat chereograph by all individuals in the group and the poem was hand written by Sarah, a post grad. the other 3 performances were awfully hilarious thanks to seniors like sing kwan and JJ. JJ literally took over the whole stage himself and his group mates acted around him instead of for him !!!

Late night sleep again and went over to the beach for frisbee session again. Headed back to KL and arrived at 6pm.

Went to MCD for super early breakfast. Slept at 6 am.
