Ski trip ..France .. les arcs ..
1 day right after the end of term , set off to France for our Malaysian society ski trip !! ..

Caleb came over on the Friday night .. he was gonna be the PR of my 25A pathetic residence(in terms of distance) for 1 week ..
was so so busy on Friday , after getting my results , went over to Decathlon to get my beanie then head off to look for specific location of the shops i will target for shopping ...

Met up with Caleb at bond street station , went selfridges window shopping with yheu shen , stroll around lanes and streets near oxford street ...
Bought foodstuff at Sainsbury in totenham court road for our supreme Caleb fried rice .. every1 was so hungry we gobbled down some breakfast pastry that cost only 30p each from 1.40 .. lol ..
Yheu Shen came over for the 1st time since we were in london and we both watched caleb cooked his presumed Tasty fried rice .. used up everything we had in the fridge before i left for ski ... more like lettuce fried rice with pork ..
ended up poring brown sauce and tomato sauce over the fried rice for extra taste!!
Sent yheu shen back and we slept together again .. haihzz .. sad .. didn't kick him this time around though ..

Made 7 French toast to bring on the bus .. Had my overnight curry for lunch , caleb spat out at least 3 potatoes but i was busy enjoying them .. lol .. luckily i didn't get stomach ache after ..

after the exhausting 18 hours ride and freezing weather endured while we made toilet breaks , We finally saw snow and we arrived at our resort/chalet after a series of climbs . The bus here is way more powerful than the 1s in Malaysia . They were literally zooming up the hills instead of crawling . UCPA !! that's the name of our resort , lol ...

Had our first French breakfast after unpacking and went to pick our ski boots right after , more like the ski boots picked us . It was a tiring ordeal trying to fit my legs into the boots and it was so uncomfortable . Anyhow , got my ski boots , then got my JUNIOR skis and left it in the boots room . Our 1st lesson begun after our fairly appetising lunch . Climbing the slopes without poles was so tough , our ski boots were so slippery and the slope was at least at a 50 degrees projection .
Had 3 instructor , learned how to put on our skis , walk with our skis and ski freely straight down . Had paella for dinner and learned how to to play bridge ( card game ) while massaging our legs ....

After 1st day lesson ..


monday Woke up on the 3rd day with amazing spirit wanting to start conquering the slopes ..
Had our lessons after breakfast , learned how to stop , remain a good posture and turn .. all by shifting our body weights and slicing pizzas with our legs...that following evening we went to explore Mont Blanc, didn't even went down the slope . It was way too scary , only daredevils like peter and hazwan went down . Xue Lieh took half a step and decided to give it a pass as it was way too scary for starters .
Practiced on another slope nearby which proved to be ideal for us because we needed to master the way to ski parallel . Wasted most of our energy climbing up the slope and falling down .

Tuesday ,
Yenson brought us to Arc 2000 to ski . Hazwan , me , wayn , ke lun and jiun siang..
That stupid guy told us to conquer the toughest of the 3 blue slopes available .
We haven't even warm up our legs and we fell repeatedly . I lost all of them after a few skis . It was kinda scary for a beginner to ski alone and i just went on and on . Not knowing the time i finally found my way back and took a bus from Arc 1950 . Had lessons in the afternoon .. the instructor took us to the exact same spot we trained , it was so so boring because she kept teaching us the things we knew already . Broke away from the crowd after lessons and went skiing ourselves . Ended up skiing all the way down from Cascadas to Around 1850

.. Went for pub crawl .. the 1st pub was the best .. good drinks and hot french ladies !! .. lol .. the 2nd 1 was crap . didn't even manage to get in as it was too packed . 3rd 1 was just a place to chill and spend some time . The last 1 was a techno. club , empty .. only our own guys .
3 euros to put our jackets in the cloakroom , i was so lucky i wore only a jumper ..
So it was either get the chill or pay 3 euros ! .. lol

Wednesday , Seniors brought us skiing !! .. ( timetable says skiing with friends ! )
All conqured mont blanc .. Just to let the seniors know our level before them bringing us to tougher slopes. After lunch , Went to most of the blue slopes .. went in a big group but ended up with 2 groups .. Was very very worried about the others .. the best part was the snow park , the place where its like a track and u can actually race on it .. was really fun ..played Win , Lose or Draw at night before we slept .. Lol i was suppose to draw drunken monkey and i drew an alien with a test tube .. lol .. c how bad is my drawing.

Thursday ..
Got poles !!! .. finally , skiing without poles is so not cool .. finally no more hurting my legs .. but because we trained without poles i think i learned how to ice skate and rollerb lade already .. lessons was so so boring .. We went to arc 2000 again and went at half the speed we're suppose to move at .. especially when it came to a gradual slope , me and my friends just couldn't be bothered anymore . we just zoomed all the way or else we'd have to walk ! After lunch , We went skiing with yenson , a nottingham uni daredevil , he brought us everywhere .. we skiing 1/3 of the map .. Although we only took blue slopes , it was pretty fun because we could really ski at a high speed . Went on (cachette 6 ) ski lift for the 1st time and took belvedere and liason grizzly in Vallandry ( a town at 1600 m ) ..
Had a cuppa and toilet break then headed back to our chalet . Headed back as it was getting really really dark , managed to find our way back through the forest path , lol .. took the bus and headed home for dinner .

Friday ,
Ke lun was our tour leader and we planned our whole trip the day before . 7 of us went together .. minus ho ming . think he woke up late .. anyways , skied to villards and had the best and most expensive lunch ever .. Had cheese fondue !! .. lol .. with bread and raw meat .. The fondue was so so good me and JJ ate till the last drop in a matter of minutes . Ho ming found his way and joined us for lunch .. Decided to skip our lesson in the afternoon so we skied around and ended up losing some1 as usual ..
Made our way home in trios .. went back out to town to get souvenirs .. Seniors went out for dinner and i was broke so decided not to join them .. had the best dinner , so fortunately we didn't go for dinner and waste 20 euros again ..

Saturday , our last day skiing .. going to miss this place so much..Again , our leader Ke lun had it all planned , but we broke off from the group because me jj and tian siong wanted to get some souvenirs as well .. Lost almost everyone .. but i went for another round on the ski lift and i saw them so decided to ski quickly down the red slope golf ... manage to catch jj but i was too tired right after and i just decided to fall and slide down the slope .. Lost JJ as well because we took different turns .. Walked in the village started shopping and thankfully met JJ so we shared 2 t shirts for a 15 euros and bought some pastry for our bus ride home ...
Manage to catch the bus and left for UCPA .. Almost every1 was back already , we returned our ski boots , skis and poles and headed back for lunch .. i made sandwich from the pate , tuna and cheese .. packed and left UCPA hoping to return next year .
Bus ride was relatively fun as we slept eat and played bridge most of the time .. Me and JJ can really sleep and sleeping 40 minutes was like sleeping for 3 hours..
Left the white soft snow , awesome ski slopes and everything ..
bought chocolates on the ferry .. Reached imperial around 7 ish and managed to get hold of yheu shen and zhu hann after a series of call because my phone was dead ..
finally back in my lovely room with messages from Wei Kiat .. lol !!

hey mates .. sorry for the wait ..

my apologies again for the slow posts ..
had so many things to do .. so many events .. and test !!!
lets start with my test .. 3 subject all packed in 3 hours ..
process analysis , fluid mechanics and thermodynamics ..
u guessed it .. !! thermodynamics is always the toughest .. but its
so cool although troublesome to consider so many states phases blah blah blah ..
cut the crap .. back to good stuff ..
best thing that has happened so far ..

1) we won basketball in nottingham malaysian games !!! my 1st medal in the UK !!
i played like shit during the qualifying round and we almost lost ( we won by 3 points ) then after quarter i was somewhat MYSELF !! .. lol .. scored quite a lot ..
So glad with the way i played .. thx to all IC( imperial college) supporters !! ..
our IC team rock and we're unbeatable .. lets keep this tradition going . !!

a rather small reunion of pe1 pupils in UK w/o jun sheng n yheu shen !! .. nice !!!
met so many people there, people i've seen but not being able to talk to ..
taylors , yuk chai , people i met on the court .. u name it .. its a malaysian gathering after all !! .. bought 2 dozen of krispy kream for them !! .. i think i took 3-4 .. saved 1 for john ( my bball captain , promised him i'll give him 1 if we win ! ) we played our hearts out !! almost every1 was suffering from cramp right after !! ..

2) Seong jiun came to visit me !! .. just incase u guys don't know .. seong jiun is my inspirational cousin !! .. he's the 1 ( the mentor the guy to look up to n everything ) ... he came to london on friday night but i was at my friends place sleeping over because i had to leave for nottingham at 5 the next day . His wife was here as well ( business trip ) .it feels so awkward to meet both of them in london !!! .. next thing you know i'll be meeting them all over the world ..
Yet again , he's such a great guy .. advising what step to take next for my career ..
hope i'll put them into good use ..

3) Food .. i should stop posting so many pictures of food .. its becoming a blog filled with food pictures .. not london .. anyways , did not try anything new yet so far . had black soya sauce chicken because i was feeling unwell . Cooked my 1st porridge !! .. was tasteless with carrots , potatoes .. stupid immune system of mine .. had expired bread for 2 days , plus 1 super cheap roast chicken . this 3 constitute to me having diarrhea for 3 consecutive days . hate it man !! .. so for this week i shall not post anything i cooked .
my hall had a christmas dinner for 15 pounds .. pretty worth it .. had steak tiger prawn and chocolate brownies .. waiting for the food was a long ordeal though ..

4) badminton team !! .. we won our 3rd consecutive game !! .. fabian played awesome .
i only won 1 game out of a possible 2 . we need 2 more wins in the season to stay in the league and possibly qualify for promotion . the badminton team sure knows how to party as well !! .. we had our christmas social dinner in 4 Seasons .. good food plus nice people .. what more can i ask for ??!!! .. almost 22 people showed up .. coach turned up as well !! .. went to Sports cafe .. the music was so lousy and we entered at 9:01 and we had to pay 5 pounds entrance !!! damn it .. half the team got in 1st so they didn't have to pay .. the music was a mix of latin and some crazy language i didn't understand .. was distracted by NBA game 6xers vs richard hamilton's team . forgot the name . the girls on the other hand , was at the bar every time they finish they're drinks .. london people are so crazy when they are in a bar .. its so unhealthy and such waste of money .. but its all in the name of FUN !!
they had this game by medic people where u drop 1 pence into some1s drink and u have to down it !! .. i kena twice only .. unlike the girls .. 3 our of the 6 girls went home drunk ..

5) London gig .. i have to admit i went because of my friends .. sad to say .. i still had fun with my mates and the baller dudes .. we're suppose to celebrate our victory in nottingham!! .. John gave me 3 pints .. damn it .. i didn't even finish 1 .. i cant drink beer !! .. the musics was lousy .. except 3 performers .. other than that .. lousy .. went back to study for test !!
