What a great analogy ? Or irony?

I've been happily indulging myself in reading The Prodigal Daughter. On my way home after a great great display of sportsmanship and entertainment at the annual downstream sports day, I read through the chapter of how senator Kane revived her political career after a discussion with a war veteran Danny who lost his leg and now is living on the streets. He expresses his despair of the welfare system and gratefulness of a few dimes received from passerby.

Simply an irony, just when I was about to leave my box of untouched rice box from the game at the top of the bin, a homeless man walked up. I left it then stood aside to see what he intended to do. He touched and went through the plastic which covers the box nice and..... The moment he saw it was a rice box with fish and vege, his eyes instantly glowed. The joy he felt must be so great and it would well be his best meal for a week, a month.. heck, even a year.

I went back to him to tell him to take it and it Is clean and untouched. I bet he couldn't understand a single bit of what I was saying either because he's an immigrant or couldn't cared more about me. How a simple rice box made his day.

The way he indulge in the box of rice is how I would indulge myself in a nice home meal after a long day of work.

Well, moral of the story? Appreciate and enjoy what is in front of you, especially your loved ones.
